Is said to die back in winter in some locations but doesn’t do that here. It has lovely peachy pink flowers with prominent stamens and aerial roots with which it will either climb or root and spread itself. It has been seen trained up trellises, looking spectacular and is a very much under rated plant in our opinion. Has come through several winters here with no frost damage. 2l pot

This plant falls into the hardy and half-hardy category, depending on your garden but you'll get its best performance under glass. The tubers get bigger each year and more resistant to frost with a bit of mulching and care but if in doubt keep in the greenhouse or conservatory. It's gloriously scented from 4pm onwards and display many different colours, usually crimson, mauve, reds, orange. Good compost, feeding & watering in the growing season and dry off during autumn & water, moving its pot outdoors after last frosts are past. Ours are grown from seed so we can't guarantee colours! This plant could have its own fan club. It's a really pretty twining climber for the conservatory. We've seen it outdoors in the Channel Islands and could be hardy down to -2 or -3 but won't like wet roots in winter so needs to be well drained.

Tender climber with showy white flowers that are not scented. Needs to be out of direct sun scorching it through glass and is best planted in fairly good soil with enough moisture but don't drown it! In some very sheltered gardens it might do outside but no promises! 2 litre pot.

This is a plant you'd have to love for its Australian name of Wonga wonga vine, even if it wasn't also gorgeous! It's a vigorous evergreen twiner for the conservatory or on a warm wall in the most sheltered and mildest locations. It flowers early so if in fear of spring frosts in April & May, grow it inside. The flowers are cream with a light scent and are borne in large bunches with a pink marking in the throat.

This rampant climber is a sport found here. The peduncle isn't quite as long as on the species. It's a fabulous colour and every year grows rapidly to cover the entrance to this greenhouse. Needs the protection of a conservatory when it flowers almost the whole year. Min. 6C

Red flowers on an evergreen climber which is nearly hardy. Does best on a warm wall in mildest gardens or in conservatory (min -1C) Over wintering indoors is safest.

Some say this plant was 'lost' but given it over 20 years ago by the one-time head of the temperate house at Kew, who had worked with John Capon, its breeder, Raymond knew always that it was 'John Innes'. This has been confirmed by the John Innes Centre. It's a beautiful, scented flower which grows to 15' under glass and flowers from June to November. Grow in fertile free draining compost and do not allow the roots to remain wet. 2l pot

Almost hardy in mildest locations but safer with winter protection. A good plant for a cool conservatory where it will do its lovely best from mid summer onwards. Hardier than its P. antioquensis parent.

This delicate pink Passiflora is also known as the Banana passionfruit. It's shown here with one of the fruits. Good plant for a cool conservatory. All of our Passiflorae can be hard pruned in winter. They soon start into new growth in spring and romp away. Fruits are edible and make a delicious sauce over ice cream.

A very lovely evergreen Passiflora with a really exotic flower and a sweet scent. It requires a minimum of 10C.

This plant from Tenerife doesn't like winter cold and wet so needs to be sunny and well-drained. Eventually, it becomes a sub-shrub with sprays of 2cm diameter white flowers with purple centres and with a red/purple tip to the petals. It has grey leaves which are white and woolly underneath and it has a long flowering period. This is the original form. 2l pot

An endangered rarity from South America and a member of the Bromeliad family. Its natural habitat is moist and subtropical, so it's ideal for a frost-free conservatory, though it can be grown in very sheltered, frost-free gardens but cover if frost is threatened. As far as we know, we're the only Nursery stocking it.

The well known and loved tender climber. Both this blue one and its white cousin are elegant in a conservatory or greenhouse. 2l. pot

This climber does well on a shady trellis. It has very pretty little heart shaped leaves and produces masses of purplish pendent flowers with a long, almost black tube protruding from them. H. around 10' Must be protected from frost to over-winter and mature to do its best but can be grown as an annual. 2l pot.

This is a very rare and unusual shrub, originating in Africa. As far as we know we are the only nursery selling this variety. Its lovely pink flowers set off the mid-green leaves perfectly and pots full of these on a sunny terrace would be beautiful and most unusual. It's pollinated by moths. Over-winter in a frost free area and keep only just moist. H. about 3'
