This garden belongs to the Earl
& Countess of Jersey and is in Jersey. It had
been stagnating for several years and was rather
'tired'. We were asked to advise and help with
re-design and re-planting. In consultation with the
owners and a number of digger drivers, irrigation
experts, stone masons, turfers and the garden's own
3 gardeners, Matthew re-designed the pleasure
gardens and planted over 5000 shrubs, trees and
perennials. The 'before' photos on the left were
taken in winter 2010 and the 'after' photos were
taken in November 2010. Some planting remains to be
done but the garden has matured at a great
rate.
