This rather unusual
evergreen twining climber has thick leaves
and little creamy flowers, violet tinged,
which are highly fragrant. These are followed
by purple fruits in a good warm summer. It
will take brief frosts down to about -6C but
if in doubt, grow it in a conservatory, or if
outside, protect with fleece. It's worth the
effort for the attention this lovely plant
gets from all who see and smell it. 2l
