This is a late
blooming and very vigorous Clematis which is
a big asset in the garden if you have space
for it. Ours grows up and among a Rosa
banksia lutea on the house front but it can
scramble up into trees or over pergolas,
going to about 20'. Its pale yellow bell
shaped flowers, have slightly reflexed tips
to the petals and have a scent of cowslips.
It's immensely attractive and quite unusual.
Cut it back in spring if desired. Plant in
full sun or partial shade in fertile,
well-drained soil and mulch its roots in
autumn but don't cover the crown. Fully
hardy.
